Throughout her decade of working in the field, she responded to nearly 4,000 scenes, including more than one-hundred homicide investigations, thirty officer-involved shooting (OIS) scenes, and multiple scenes throughout the 2017 October Las Vegas mass shooting investigation. In the State of Nevada, Noreen has testified as an expert witness in both State and Federal courts. She is a current member of the Crime Scene Investigation Consensus Body of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences Standards Board (ASB).

He is currently a Sheriff's Lead Crime Scene Specialist at the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department in the Scientific Investigations Division (SID), an ISO 17025 Forensic Testing Laboratory that provides laboratory services all law enforcement agencies in the county of San Bernardino. Since 1995 the SID has been accredited through the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB) and now the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB). Bryon O'Neil is a traffic crash and criminal reconstruction with a background using 3D laser scanning to document crash and crime Scenes, as well as a certified FARO Trainer. Bryon uses the 3D laser scanner data to recreate crashes to include creating animated representations of collisions and combining the animated vehicles with the point cloud data to create a presentation that leaves an impact on juries. In addition to this, he also currently serves as president of IAFSM (International Association of Forensic & Security Metrology). IAFSM an organization comprised of experts from a wide variety of backgrounds, including law enforcement, military, forensic engineers, crash reconstructionists, and security professionals whose common element is the use and development of high-precision measurement systems in their field.

A clandestine grave or burial can be defined by the process of concealing a body in the ground. Crime scenes wherein a clandestine grave is located are unique. They require a specialized set of techniques and tools to excavate, document, and recover the human remains and any associated evidence buried in the grave. This session will review a comparison of manual methods, laser scanners, and structured light scanners.

Dr. David Errickson is a published author and lecturer in forensic anthropology and archaeology at Cranfield's Forensic Institute, Cranfield University. Dr. Errickson holds a Master of Science in Forensic Archaeology and Crime Scene Investigation and a Ph.D. Forensic Anthropology. He is focused on the visualization of skeletal evidence within the courtroom, specifically, how we can improve on current standards with surface scanning techniques. Furthermore, we can use 3D digitization to visualize forensic evidence within the courtroom and whether this affects the judge and jury negatively.
Newer 3D imaging technologies, including photogrammetry and 3D laser scanning, provide flexibility and reproducibility for taking measurements to accurately and fully document a crime scene. In this session, Dr. Mehta will review the advantages and limitations of photogrammetry and laser scanning.

Eugene Liscio is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, Canada, and is the owner of ai2-3D, a consulting company specializing in 3D forensic documentation, analysis, and visualizations. Eugene has testified with interactive 3D crime scene models in court in both the US and Canada utilizing 3D technologies such as photogrammetry and laser scanning. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto Mississauga, where he teaches a 3D Forensic Reconstruction and Mapping course as part of the Forensic Sciences Program.

Nielson Plomp is a forensic investigator at the Dutch Police Force (Politie). Nielson specializes in 3D imaging using 3D laser scanners, 360° photography, virtual reality, and drones images. He is also the founder of Replicapture, a company that helps facility and security managers efficiently manage buildings by creating a spatially accurate, measurable carbon copy of structures called "Digital Twins".
Sometimes a single witness in a case can be the eye of a surveillance camera. Sometimes events are captured with smartphones and body cameras, but each is telling a different story. While video is one of the most prolific sources of evidence available, it cannot be taken at face value. From converting proprietary video formats correctly, ensuring clips are not missing, correcting lens distortion, and confirming the size of objects, many critical pieces of the footage need to be analyzed correctly; otherwise, it can lead to misinterpretation. In this session, learn about tools available to investigators to ensure video footage is analyzed correctly and review cases where video footage was merged with 3D scanner data to show the true and accurate view of the scene and sequence of events.

As a detective with Bedfordshire Police working with Major Incident Teams, Dave developed skills & techniques to quickly examine & assess the content of video evidence, typically CCTV material & present it in court. In 2004 Dave started Demux Video Services Ltd providing expert video analysis services to law enforcement and the legal community. They also supply the law enforcement market with specialist software to extract, process, and present their video evidence.
